Safari Lodges in the Eastern Cape – tested for you!

In Current, Hotels and Lodges, Specials and News

Our colleague Gerhard Hefers recently travelled within the region around Port Elizabeth, where the lodges offer malaria free safari experiences. 11 lodges were on his programme and his highlight was without a doubt Gorah Elephant Camp – within the Addo National Park. Out of Africa romance is guaranteed as the camp with 11 comfortable safari tents makes use of candle light and paraffin lamps with no electric lighting. Gerhard could spot rhinos, lions, buffalo and elephants at the waterhole located in front of the lodge that roam close to the tents. In addition the lodge offers top qualified and engaging rangers along with service that compares very well with other 5 star lodges. A highlight at Gorah is bushwalks, offered on a private concession of over 5000 ha – guests have a real chance to experience animals at eye-level!

Gerhard’s second favourite is the Lodge Settlers Drift im Kariega Private Game Reserve – completely different and very modern. Here our colleague could experience Big 5 wildlife sightings again and we regularly receive only the best Feedback from our guests.
