What is happening currently in South Africa and how have we spent the last 150 days of lockdown?

 In Current, Specials and News

Since the end of July the storm of the infection wave that gripped the country has passed and in the meantime, with further relaxations in the last two weeks, South Africans can also now relax a little and smile again. The infection rates are falling every day, a positive sign and reason to be positive about the future. Restaurants are open again for guests, as are tourist attractions like the Table Mountain Cableway and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
,,South Africa is travel ready“ – Hygiene, and safety protocols concepts have been implemented everywhere according to official guidelines. Currently travel within the whole of South Africa is allowed as local tourism gets back up and running. An opening of the borders for international visitors is reportedly planned for October or November!
South Africa is back and we are happy to reconnect!

Our team is also doing well, all colleagues are healthy and some of them work from home. Anke landed on a repatriation flight back in Germany a few weeks ago. We are all still heavily involved in Food Projects, the level of need is incredible! We are supporting orphans in the Khayelitsha township as well as the people desperately seeking work plus the homeless in Cape Town with food supplies. We would like to send a huge Thank You to many of our clients who supported us throughout this crisis with around EUR 30 000 / USD 35 600 for these projects.
