Anke answered the call of the Serengeti and recently visited 25 safari camps on the northern route of Tanzania including 4 hotels around Arusha and Kilimanjaro. What a tour!

The 8 days were packed with exciting wildlife experiences including an on-route visit to a Maasai village where she learned more about the traditions of these nomadic people. At sunrise she experienced a hot-air balloon safari over the Serengeti, in her words “unforgettable goosebumps moments! From a height of 10/15m you could watch the buffalo herds and hippos, fascinating…”

Anke is happy to share her latest camp discoveries: The Siringit Serengeti Camp by Mantis in the central Serengeti with 10 stylishly furnished tents in the middle of the bush impressed! The modern decor & and the F&B team were only some of the highlights!

An absolute classic is the Pioneer Camp von Elewana, perfectly integrated into the hilly landscape. At night Anke could hear lions and hyenas calling! During the migration period, thousands of wildebeest and zebras roam these plains. The tents are furnished in “Out of Africa style” celebrating a historic charm of a bygone safari era. The motivated camp team fulfils every wish of each guest with great pleasure.

Gibbs Farmnot far from the Ngorongoro Crater rim, should also be on the agenda when planning a trip to Tanzania! It is a completely different experience to live on a real working farm in the middle of coffee plantations. Almost everything that is conjured up by the kitchen team comes from their own cultivation. The location is fantastic and there are countless activities on offer.
