Exciting updates from a favorite destination

Namibia has long ranked among the top destinations for travelers – and the 2025/2026 season brings several exciting developments:

Visa requirement for European travelers
  • For the first time, Namibia is introducing an e-visa for European passport holders.
    The cost is NAD 1,600 per person (approx. EUR 80 / USD 95).
  • The visa can be applied for conveniently online – we will keep you updated on the process.

More flight connections from 2026
  • Swiss airline Edelweiss will add a new direct route to its schedule from 2026:
    • Zurich – Windhoek, nonstop, twice weekly
  • This will significantly increase flight capacity and availability for travel to Namibia.
Opening of exclusive new lodges
  • Namibia is also evolving in terms of accommodation – with a strong focus on quality, individuality, and a deep connection to nature. Two exciting projects are currently underway, each designed for small guest numbers, personal experiences, and seamless integration into Namibia’s breathtaking landscapes:
  • The new, exclusive Nkasa Linyanti Lodge is currently being built in the Caprivi Strip / Linyanti Wetlands.
  • In remote Kaokoveld, the Hoanib Elephant Camp is in the planning stages—a small, high-quality camp with a focus on nature and sustainability.
