Exploring Zimbabwe & Botswana
Our colleague Sarah Sinn was once again on the road for our guests – this time in Victoria Falls and Botswana. She visited a variety of lodges, tested activities, and gathered many memorable impressions. Here are her personal tips and highlights:
Unique Perspectives & Adrenaline-Filled Moments
One truly unforgettable highlight for Sarah was visiting Devil’s Pool, right on the edge of the majestic Victoria Falls. Sitting safely in the water while the Zambezi River plunges into the abyss beside her – “an absolute goosebump moment,” as Sarah puts it.
Another of Sarah’s top recommendations is the stunning Victoria Falls River Lodge, beautifully located along the Zambezi River within the Lower Zambezi National Park. Both the main lodge and the newly redesigned tented suites are simply breathtaking – modern, elegant, and offering magnificent views over the river. The Falls are only a few kilometers away, yet the lodge provides a peaceful, natural retreat where you can unwind and let the day’s adventures sink in.
Sarah’s Next Highlights: The Camps of Feline Fields
Feline Fields Vintage Camp, Khwai River
Rustic, charming, and full of classic safari atmosphere – an intimate tented camp with just ten tents, each thoughtfully designed with great attention to detail. The tents offer every comfort, the guides are highly experienced, and game drives promise outstanding wildlife encounters.
Feline Fields Lodge, Kalahari
Here, serenity meets elegance, paired with a completely different set of experiences: desert biking, horseback riding, and guided bush walks. What moved Sarah most was the authentic interaction with the San Bushmen – sharing stories around the fire and joining them on walks and activities that truly touch the soul.
If this sounds inspiring, we would be delighted to advise you and help plan your own journey. And you learn so much about how these indigenous communities live.
